When signing up for a full pass to Gothenburg Queer Lindy Festival you need to choose what level that suits you best. The first round of registration for classes, will be open for one week, from the 31st of May at 1 pm CET until midnight between the 10th and 11th of June. Spots will be distributed by a lottery the 11th of June.
After the lottery, it is still possible to register for available spots. If there are no free spots, you will be put on a waiting list, and accepted if one becomes available.
Registrations for party passes will open the 15th of June at 1 pm until midnight between the 25th and 26th of June. Spots will be distributed by a lottery on the 26th of June.

Solidarity pricing
Gothenburg Queer Lindy Festival will use solidarity pricing for all classes. We prioritized keeping the prices relatively low in order to make this event as economically accessible as we could. However the ones of you who struggles financially will also have the possibility to choose the subsidized ticket alternative. For this to be possible for us as a festival, we ask all of you who have the means for it, to choose the higher price category. When you pay the higher price, you will in practice sponsor a fellow queer to join in the fun.

You are new to lindy hop and want to get to know the basics, or you have taken some lindy hop classes before and want to improve your basics. No previous dance experience is necessary. This means that during the weekend you will learn the fundamentals of both leading and following. Enough to have a blast on the dance floor!
Tony Jackson
ALL CLASSES ARE ELEF, WHICH MEANS YOU WILL BOTH LEAD AND FOLLOW. PLEASE LOOK FOR THE LEVEL THAT FITS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH LINDY HOP.
You have been dancing lindy hop for a while and at least tried out your less experienced role. You social dance with some regularity. You feel comfortable dancing to medium-tempo and a bit faster songs in your first role. You have practiced/danced some swing-outs in both roles but no more experience in the less experienced role is necessary.
During this weekend you will improve your dancing, switching and exploring the different aspects of queering lindy hop. Suitable for dancers with some experience, at least been dancing for six months regularly, and some experience (a swing-out, an ELEF beginners course) in the less experienced role.
Josephine Baker
ALL CLASSES ARE ELEF, WHICH MEANS YOU WILL BOTH LEAD AND FOLLOW. PLEASE LOOK FOR THE LEVEL THAT FITS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH LINDY HOP.
You feel comfortable with both following and leading and social dance regularly. You feel relatively fluent in both roles. You are comfortable dancing to a variety of tempos (100-170 bpm) in both roles and would sign up to an intermediate (or higher level) class for a non switching festival in either role. During this weekend you will improve your dancing in both roles, working on connecting with your partner and exploring the possibilities of following, leading and switching.
Suitable for dancers with experience in both leading and following, at least been dancing for one year regularly, and taken courses in ELEF and/or both as a follow and lead and continued dancing in both roles. You know how to both follow and lead some basic routines.
Billy Strayhorn
ALL CLASSES ARE ELEF, WHICH MEANS YOU WILL BOTH LEAD AND FOLLOW. PLEASE LOOK FOR THE LEVEL THAT FITS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH LINDY HOP.
You feel comfortable and secure with both following and leading in different tempos as well as some different jazz music genres. You social dance regularly, both as a follow and a lead. You would likely sign up to another festival for an intermediate-advanced or advanced class in either role. You feel equally comfortable dancing both roles and really want to extend your capabilities when it comes to working on connecting with your partner and exploring the possibilities of following, leading and switching at a higher level.
You connect with the music as much as your dancing partner and you like to explore your groove together to different styles of jazz. You also feel comfortable dancing solo while connecting with a dance partner.
Queer lindy Party Pass
Three days of queer centric social dancing. Listen to great music by our two bands and DJs, all with queer focus, and dance the night away with your fellow queers. You will see performances by some of the best queer lindy hoppers of this day. The party pass also includes access to all workshops/taster classes, as well as panel talks and discussion forums.
NOTE: Party pass is included in the fees for the classes. No party pass registration is needed if you are accepted to classes. But if you are on the waiting list to the complete workshop, please register for a party pass, and we will cancel the party pass registration if you are accepted to classes.
