During the festival we will have plenty of events open to all participants. There will be a lecture on queer history, theme classes, a panel discussion and meet ups for dancers on the LBTQIA-spectrum.

Theme Classes
Queer Lindy Beginner Crash Course
Friday
Teachers: Anna (She/Her) and Mina (She/Her)

“Come join the Stealing pre-party!”
Friday
Teachers: Kate (She/Her) and Linnea (She/Her)
Friday at 7:00-8:00 PM, Stora salen, Forum
Welcome to an adventure in stealing for fun and profit! Want to get your steal on? Theft of a partner during a dance, when done with consent of the involved parties is the kind of theft we can get behind. So come along to learn some ways to steal, some old, some new, some utterly ridiculous.
Meet new people you can perhaps steal during the night? Find a group of like minded new friends to play a game of ‘steal that dancer’.
Blues Theme Class
Saturday
Teacher: Grey Armstrong (He/Him)
Saturday at 8 PM, Stora salen, Forum
Open level blues class!
Grey found blues dancing long ago when dancing with his grandfather as a child. At university he found others doing a dance similar to what he knew, and clung to the familiar music. Grey is internationally known for innovative classes, deep cultural context, and an intuitive learning style. Leaving students with a lingering feeling they have been changed beyond just dance. He loves to challenge students physically but also intellectually and emotionally, with his experience based teaching.
Soul Dances

Sunday
Teacher: Alyssa Chloe
Sunday at 4:30 PM, Stora salen, Forum
This workshop will explore the social and soul dances that emerged from the BIPOC communities and movements that have become the foundation and DNA of street dance. We will explore dances ranging from the 60s, 70s, and more from different areas of the USA.
Navigating Scenes And Real World Complications
Intersectionality, diversity and a more integrated community can feel like a big goal hidden behind big words.

Saturday 4:00 PM, Stora Salen
Host: Sonnie Spoon (They/Them)
Panel: Grey Armstrong (He/Him), Maria Mallan (She/Her), Tamara Lobato Nieto (She/They) and Alyssa Chloe (She/Her)
Join us for a conversation around navigating, holding, and taking space. Dancers and organisers alike are invited to reflect and contribute the conversation on their intentions, actions, and the implications for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ dancers in a very white, cis global scene. Hosted by Sonnie Spoon (They/Them).
LGBTQIA+ History in Blues
A History Talk by Grey Armstrong

Sunday 3:00 PM, Stora Salen
Host: Grey Armstrong (He/Him)
Grey wants to live in a world filled with an appreciation of black culture, combat boots that double as dance shoes, and the ability to fall asleep outside of the hours of 3-6 am.
As a renaissance man, Grey strings together a variety of unique life and professional experiences that informs the work he does. With dance classes and lectures all over the world, a blog with world wide readership and an ability to bring hard topics back down to earth, Grey is always working towards interesting ideas. He loves sharing those realizations with audiences!
Join the History Talk on Sunday at 3 PM, open for all festival attendees
